American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for an acute care hospital assignment in Mission Viejo, California. This is a travel position requiring 1+ year of experience, ARRT (R), and BLS certification.

Assignment Details

• Start Date: September 22, 2026
• Duration: 18 weeks
• Hours: 40 hours per week, 4x10-hour shifts
• Shift: Variable start times between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM as needed (evening and night shifts available)
• Rotating weekends likely exceeding every other weekend to meet unit needs
• No on-call requirements
• May be required to float to a nearby sister facility
• Openings: 1

Work Setting

• Acute care hospital setting within the CT Scan unit
• Level II Trauma Center with adult and pediatric acute care and outpatient services
• Uses Epic EMR and Siemens CT equipment

Responsibilities

• Perform CT imaging of abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, spine/musculoskeletal, and chest with and without contrast
• Perform specialized procedures including CTA, coronary CTA, biopsies, aspirations, and drainage as needed
• Prepare and administer contrast media
• Ensure radiation safety
• Perform peripheral IV starts and venipuncture
• Conduct image display and post-processing including 3D rendering and multiplanar reconstruction

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience required
• ARRT (R), BLS, and CRT certifications required
• Fluoroscopy Permit required
• CA state license required if applicable
• Compact license must be active and in hand at time of consideration
• Teaching hospital and Trauma Level II experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Skilled in contrast media preparation/administration, radiation safety, peripheral IV starts, and venipuncture
• Proficient in image display and post-processing including 3D rendering and multiplanar reconstruction
• Must be willing to work 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required
• RTO must be submitted at time of consideration; requests after offer may not be accommodated

• First-time travelers will be considered for this role
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
• Must not reside within 50 miles of the facility; candidates within 50 miles may be accepted at a lower bill rate
