About the role

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience and ARRT-CT certification for a Level II Trauma Center in Prineville, Oregon. This 13-week travel assignment starts August 24, 2026 and offers 40 hours per week on day shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Work in the CT department of a Level II Trauma Center serving adult and pediatric patients in both acute care and outpatient settings
  • Perform general, OB/GYN, renal/pelvis, and vascular CT scans with an average daily caseload of 40 patients
  • Conduct additional procedures including abdomen and pelvis studies, head and neck imaging, spine and musculoskeletal imaging, chest imaging, and vascular CTA
  • Utilize GE CT equipment and PACS system
  • Operate within Epic EMR system
  • Perform image display and post-processing tasks including 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction, and ROI measurement
  • Prepare and administer contrast media
  • Adhere to radiation safety protocols
  • Perform peripheral IV insertion and venipuncture
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Potential but unlikely need to float within scope to meet facility needs

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience
  • ARRT-CT and ARRT-R certifications required
  • BLS certification required
  • Oregon state license required if applicable
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Proficiency in contrast media preparation and administration
  • Skilled in radiation safety practices
  • Ability to perform peripheral IV insertion and venipuncture
  • First-time travelers will be considered
  • Must live outside a 75-mile radius of the facility (local candidates not accepted)
  • Proof of address required for consideration
  • Return-to-origin (RTO) limited to 7 total days within the 13-week assignment

Schedule

  • Choice of 4×10-hour day shifts (Monday–Thursday) or 3×12-hour shifts (Friday–Sunday)
  • Shift hours: 10:00 AM to 8:30 PM
  • No on-call requirements
