About the role
- 36 hours per week, 12-hour day shifts
- Employment Type: Travel
- CT and X-ray multimodality technologist position in Richmond, Virginia
- Locals allowed at the same rate
- Position is in the ED of a new Children’s hospital opening April 30, 2023, with a mix of emergency and inpatients
- May need to float to the main hospital location as needed
Responsibilities
- Perform CT scans including:
- Abdomen without and/or with contrast
- Brain perfusion
- Cervical
- Chest without and/or with contrast
- Colonography or virtual Colonography
- CT arthrography
- Head without and/or with contrast
- Lumbar
- Pelvis without and/or with contrast
- Thoracic
- Transplant studies
- Multiplanar reconstruction (MRP)
- Prepare and/or administer contrast media
- Start peripheral IVs
- Work in various care settings: Adult Acute Care, Adult Outpatient, Emergency Department, Level I Trauma, Pediatric Acute Care, NICU, PICU, Adult ICU
- Use PACS and Siemens equipment
- Chart using Epic system
- Float within scope if needed
- Complete required modules during orientation (average 6 hours)
Requirements
- 1 year of experience required; 2 years preferred
- ARRT(R) certification
- ARRT Advanced Certification
- BLS certification
- COVID-19 Vaccine: Not Required
- Flu Vaccine: Required (Medical/Religious Exemptions Only)
- VA or compact state license (must be in hand at time of submittal)
- Epic charting experience required
- 2 professional references required
- BSN preferred
- Natural nail policy compliance (VCU requirement)
- Background check required; candidates cannot start with results pending
Facility & Patient Care Details
- Patient age groups: Neonates, Adolescents, Infants, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics
- Daily census and patient diagnoses vary
- Interdisciplinary support available
- Orientation includes modules on VCU Learning Exchange (must be completed by Friday of orientation week)
