About the role

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Asheboro, North Carolina. This role supports a community hospital setting serving outpatient (adult and pediatric) and emergency department (ED) patient populations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide range of CT and X-Ray diagnostic imaging procedures across outpatient, ED, and acute care settings, including:
    • CT procedures: abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, brain perfusion, CTAs, and multiplanar reconstruction
    • X-Ray procedures: extremities, abdomen/GI, spine/pelvis, head, chest/thorax, musculoskeletal, and upper/lower extremities
    • ED exams: outpatient CT and X-Ray, cardiac CT (pulmonary vein CT, cardiac calcium scores), and perfusion studies
  • Prepare and administer contrast media
  • Adhere to radiation safety practices and isolation precautions/PPE protocols
  • Start peripheral IVs (averaging 8-9 per day)
  • Use PACS, GE and Siemens equipment, portable imaging units, and EPIC EMR
  • May float to other campuses within the health system as needed

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist
  • Previous travel experience required
  • ARRT (CT) and ARRT (R) certification required
  • BLS certification required
  • State license required if applicable
  • Outpatient (adult and pediatric) and ED experience required
  • Experience with PACS, portable imaging, GE, and Siemens equipment
  • EPIC charting system experience required
  • Community hospital experience required
  • Experience with infants and pediatric patients preferred
  • Must pass a Pass/Fail EKG competency exam (up to two attempts allowed)
  • Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
  • First-time travelers will not be considered for this role

Schedule

  • 4x10-hour day shifts, Monday through Thursday, 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM
  • Start Date: September 14, 2026
  • Duration: 13 weeks
  • 40 hours per week

Pay

Pay package is based on 10-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
