Travel CT Tech - $2,605 per week

TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel CT Technologist for an assignment in Anchorage, Alaska.

About the role

We are looking for a Computed Tomography Technologist (CT Tech) for an immediate travel opening. The right CT Tech must have 1 year of experience. As a CT Tech, you will operate computed tomography equipment, ensure accurate image capture, and prepare images for physician interpretation. You will also prepare and care for patients undergoing CT scanning.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests, and explain procedures to patients
• Interpret doctors' written instructions
• Position patients to scan specific areas of their bodies
• Use CT equipment to capture diagnostic images of internal organs and tissues
• Administer radiocontrast agents to enhance visibility of internal organs and tissues
• Evaluate CT scans for technical quality
• Follow radiation safety procedures
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

• 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist
• BLS certification
• ARRT (CT) National Certification with registration in computed tomography
• State-specific licensing when required
• ARRT (R) certification
• 2 years of experience (additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment)
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lean, or stoop for long periods
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
