Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience and ARRT(R) or ARRT(CT) certification for a Level I trauma center serving a diverse patient population across acute care and outpatient settings.
Setting & Patient Population
- Hospital-based CT department within a Level I trauma center, serving adult acute care, ED, pediatric acute care, adult outpatient, and pediatric outpatient settings
- Patient population spans pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
- Day shifts: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM or 8:00 AM–8:30 PM
- Every third weekend night shift required (7:00 PM–7:00 AM)
- No on-call requirement
- May float to an affiliated outpatient radiology location nearby
- Epic EMR experience required
- GE CT equipment and PACS experience required
Procedures
- Abdomen/pelvis with and without contrast
- Chest (including vascular/CTA/pulmonary embolism)
- Head and neck (carotid, sinuses, soft tissue neck, trauma head)
- Spine and musculoskeletal (cervical, lumbar, thoracic)
- Brain perfusions
- Vascular CTA
- Multiplanar reconstruction (MPR) required; 3D rendering, ROI measurement, and advanced post-processing preferred
- Enterography studies, coronary CTA, CT arthrography, myelography, colonography, aspirations, biopsies, and drainage procedures preferred
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience required
- ARRT(R) or ARRT(CT) certification required
- Current BLS (AHA) certification required
- Level I trauma center experience required
- State license required if applicable
- Proficiency with GE CT equipment and PACS required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Experience with contrast media preparation and administration, radiation safety, and isolation precautions required
- Ability to work with pediatric through geriatric patient populations
Additional Information
- Perform a broad range of CT procedures including body imaging, neuro, vascular CTA, trauma, and spine/musculoskeletal studies
- Skills in starting peripheral IVs, venipuncture, and department lead/management responsibilities are preferred
- Full availability required during orientation week
- Holiday time off requests are not guaranteed to be approved
- Navy scrubs required
