Travel CT Technologist position in Milwaukie, Oregon.
About the role
This is a travel assignment for a CT Technologist in a short-term acute care facility with 59 staffed beds. The role is for 13 weeks, starting as soon as possible.
- 36 hours per week, 12-hour night shifts
- Weekend overnights required: Friday 20:00–08:00, Saturday 20:00–08:00, Sunday 20:00–08:00
- No on-call or block schedules
- No floating between units
- Charting system: Epic
- Scrub colors: any color for most units; provided for OR, Critical Care, ED, and Maternal Child
- Free parking
- COVID-19 vaccine not required; flu vaccine status unknown
- Must have a vehicle for this assignment
Responsibilities
- Perform CT and X-ray procedures, including:
- 3D rendering (Maximum intensity projection, Surface shaded displays, Volume rendering)
- Abdomen without and/or with contrast
- Adult Acute Care and Adult Outpatient
- Carotid, Cervical, Chest without and/or with contrast
- Emergency Department procedures
- Head without and/or with contrast
- ICU procedures
- Isolation Precautions/PPE
- Lumbar, Musculoskeletal trauma
- PACS operation
- Pelvis without and/or with contrast
- Preparation and/or administration of contrast media
- Radiation Safety
- Region of interest measurement (ROI)
- Sinuses, Soft tissue neck
- Starting Peripheral IVs
- Thoracic, Trauma head
- Vascular chest (e.g., pulmonary embolism, CTA, aorta)
- Venipuncture
- Adhere to unit-specific requirements, including:
- Work within a 2-room, 48-bed unit
- Support interdisciplinary teams including Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Radiology, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Transportation, and Unit Secretary
- Complete non-billable modules (average 16 hours pre-start and annually; over 20 hours requires approval)
- Commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day)
- Float to affiliate hospitals nearby if required; refusal may result in termination
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist
- Certifications: ARRT (CT), ARRT (R), BLS
- Experience with Epic charting system (preferred)
- Skills in GE equipment and multiplanar reconstruction (MRP)
- Must provide 2 professional references covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years
- Background check required; any hits must be approved prior to submission
- Must not have worked at a Providence facility as a permanent employee, traveler, or registry/per-diem within the last 3 months
- Must disclose any prior employment with Providence facilities, including location and dates worked
- Must reside or be willing to work within a 50-mile radius of the facility
