About the Role
American Traveler is hiring a Travel CT Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Springfield, Missouri. This hospital-based role is within an Interventional Radiology setting, serving ER, inpatient, and trauma/stroke patient populations. The facility is a 500-bed Level 1 Trauma & Burn Center and Level 2 Stroke Center.
Schedule
- Evening shift: 1:30 PM to 9:30 PM, 5x8 hours per week
- 40 hours per week
- Weekend hours as required by facility
- Evening shift staff orient on day shift and must be available the entire orientation week
- No call requirements
- Floating as required by facility
- Up to 5 days of requested time off allowed, must be made up during the assignment
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic CT scans independently at a technical level
- Transport patients as needed and follow universal precautions and PPE protocols
- Perform post-processing procedures on Vitrea workstations and QC workstation functions
- Follow established downtime processes when needed
- Maintain integrity of imaging archive
- Use GE CT equipment and EMR/systems including Epic, Visage, Vitrea, and Medicalis
Requirements
- ARRT registration in Radiography and CT required
- BLS certification from AHA required
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist in a hospital setting
- Experience with stroke and trauma patient populations required
- Satisfactory completion of formal Radiologic Technology training from an AMA-approved program
- Proficient in cross-sectional anatomy, 3-D imaging knowledge, and CT scanner operation
- Skilled in use of power injectors, PACS, HIS/RIS, and QC workstations
- Ability to lift, move, and transport patients, and tolerate continual standing and walking
- Strong communication skills and ability to adapt to stressful, emergent situations
- License required if applicable
- Black scrubs required with adherence to facility dress code
- Flu vaccination or facility-approved exemption required for all travelers from November 1 to April 1 (no declinations accepted)
