About the role

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a night shift travel assignment at a critical access hospital in Seaside, Oregon. The facility has 23 total staffed beds and the CT Tech unit performs both CT and X-ray duties with a 1:1 patient ratio. The role covers adult acute care, adult outpatient, and emergency department settings.

Responsibilities

  • Perform CT scans and X-rays across adult acute care, outpatient, and emergency department cases
  • Administer contrast media and start peripheral IVs
  • Ensure radiation safety compliance and adhere to isolation precautions/PPE protocols
  • Conduct procedures including:
    • Abdomen and pelvis CT (with/without contrast)
    • Chest CT (with/without contrast)
    • Head and neck CT (with/without contrast)
    • Spine and musculoskeletal imaging
  • Perform special procedures such as aspirations, biopsies, brain perfusion, drainage, and vascular CTA
  • Operate GE equipment and PACS system; use Epic EMR

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist
  • ARRT CT and ARRT R certifications required
  • BLS certification required
  • Experience with contrast media preparation and administration
  • Proficiency in radiation safety and isolation precautions/PPE
  • Skilled in starting peripheral IVs
  • Experience with multiplanar reconstruction (MRP) preferred
  • Epic EMR experience preferred
  • State license required if applicable
  • First-time travelers welcome
  • Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays

Schedule

  • Night shift: 4x10 hours (8:00 PM to 6:30 AM), Monday through Thursday
  • Block schedule required; no weekends or on-call
  • Duration: 9 weeks, starting 09/21/2026
  • 40 hours per week
  • No floating between units

Additional Details

  • Scrubs of any color accepted for outpatient and PT areas; scrubs provided for OR/L&D
  • No parking fees at the facility
  • Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate (50-mile radius rule applies)
  • Former Providence staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a travel employee and must reside outside a 50-mile radius
