About the role

American Traveler is seeking a travel CT Technologist for a 13-week assignment starting August 17, 2026, at a Level II Trauma Center in South Bend, Indiana.

Responsibilities

  • Work setting includes adult acute care, ED, ICU, and pediatric acute care within a Level II Trauma Center
  • 3x12-hour weekend day shifts, Friday through Sunday, 9:00 AM to 9:30 PM
  • Procedures include abdomen/pelvis (with and without contrast), head and neck (carotid, sinuses, soft tissue neck, trauma head), spine and musculoskeletal (cervical, lumbar, thoracic, MSK trauma), chest (with and without contrast, PE/CTA/aorta), and vascular CT
  • Skills utilized include image display and post-processing, 3D rendering (MIP, surface shaded displays, volume rendering), multiplanar reconstruction (MPR), and ROI measurement
  • Equipment includes GE scanners and PACS
  • Cerner EMR experience required
  • Float to other units within the hospital or nearby affiliate hospitals depending on volume and census
  • Holiday coverage required every other holiday

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of CT Tech experience required
  • Travel experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
  • ARRT (CT), ARRT (R), and BLS required; pending certifications may be accepted
  • Cerner EMR experience required
  • Level II Trauma Center experience preferred
  • Proficiency in image post-processing, 3D rendering, MPR, ROI measurement, and contrast media preparation/administration
  • Radiation safety and isolation precautions/PPE knowledge required
  • Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be considered
  • State license required if applicable

Benefits

  • Up to 8 hours of self-reported online modules must be completed prior to start, typically averaging 3–8 hours
  • Max RTO is 10 days for the assignment; if RTO falls during holidays, travelers must be willing to work at least 1 of the 3 holidays
  • Professional conduct is taken seriously at this facility; issues including unprofessional behavior or shift call-offs may result in immediate contract termination
  • 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years will be required for consideration

Pay

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
