About the role

American Traveler is seeking a travel CT Technologist for a Level I Trauma teaching hospital in Charleston, South Carolina. The position will start on October 12, 2026, and last for 13 weeks.

Responsibilities

  • Night shift schedule of 3x12 hours, Friday through Sunday, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM at the main campus
  • Holiday rotation required
  • On-call rotation shared with staff
  • May float within scope to sister facilities and to Interventional Radiology (IR)
  • Works across adult acute care, outpatient, Emergency Department, ICU, and Level I Trauma settings
  • Utilizes Siemens CT equipment, PACS, and Sectra for image display and post-processing
  • Charts using Epic EMR
  • Performs abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, spine/musculoskeletal, and chest CT studies with and without contrast
  • Conducts special procedures including biopsies, aspirations, drainage, coronary CTA, vascular CTA, brain perfusion, and colonography

Requirements

  • BLS certification required
  • ARRT (R)(CT) certification required
  • SCRQSA (R)(CT) certification required
  • South Carolina state license required if applicable
  • Minimum 1 year of CT experience preferred; 6 months of Level I trauma CT experience required
  • Experience with Siemens CT equipment required
  • Level I Trauma experience required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Teaching hospital experience preferred
  • Proficiency in 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction (MPR), and region of interest (ROI) measurement
  • Skilled in contrast media preparation and administration, peripheral IV starts, radiation safety, and isolation precautions/PPE

Qualifications

  • Must reside within 60 miles of the facility or may be considered as local on a case-by-case basis
  • Candidates must submit all requested time off at the time of application
  • Travelers may be assigned to emergency response duties during hurricane season, which runs June through November
  • Attendance at staff meetings is expected
  • Facility reserves the right to cancel up to 1 shift per 2 weeks

Pay

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
