Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a night shift position at a Level III Trauma acute care hospital, requiring ARRT (CT) certification and at least 1 year of experience.

Details

  • Level III Trauma acute care hospital with 286 staffed beds
  • CT unit serving inpatient, outpatient (Fridays only), ER, and scheduled interventional cases (Fridays only)
  • Patient population ranges from newborns through geriatrics
  • Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, Friday through Sunday, 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM
  • On-call rotation among staff members Monday–Thursday, 5:00 PM – 6:00 AM; call is for shift coverage or high-volume trauma situations and occurs approximately every 4–5 weeks
  • No floating between service lines or sister facilities
  • Epic EMR (preferred)

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience

ARRT (CT) certification required

SCRQSA (CT) registration required

AHA BLS required

Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology with ARRT certification

SC state license required in hand at time of start; license required if applicable

Proficiency with IV starts, contrast administration, biopsies, and PACS system

Radiation badge required — must be provided by candidate's agency

SSN and Driver's License required for consideration

Two professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

Performs high-quality CT examinations in accordance with established protocols, including ER, inpatient, outpatient, and interventional cases

Responsibilities include preparation and administration of contrast media, starting peripheral IVs, and performing biopsies

First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the MUSC system for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler

Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are considered local; non-local candidates are given priority, and local candidates are considered on a case-by-case basis

All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront; RTO requests submitted after the start of the assignment will not be accepted

Pre-assignment modules are required and must be completed prior to start

Scrub colors are teal top and black bottom

Free parking on site

Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September

Pay

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined
