About the role

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in a freestanding Emergency Room setting in Kennewick, Washington. The position requires ARRT CT certification and a valid Washington state license.

Responsibilities

  • Perform CT imaging procedures including abdomen, pelvis, chest, head, neck, and spine studies with and without contrast
  • Administer contrast media and start peripheral IVs as needed
  • Work in a freestanding Emergency Department setting with adult acute care and outpatient CT patient population
  • Procedures include:
    • Abdomen/pelvis with and without contrast
    • Chest with and without contrast
    • Head and neck imaging
    • Cervical/lumbar/thoracic spine
    • Musculoskeletal trauma
    • Brain perfusion
    • Vascular CTA
  • Use PACS and Siemens CT equipment
  • Float within the facility as needed

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist
  • Current ARRT CT and ARRT R certifications
  • Current BLS certification
  • Valid Washington state license
  • Prior travel experience required
  • Epic EMR experience preferred
  • Skilled in preparation and administration of contrast media
  • Peripheral IV insertion skills preferred
  • Emergency Department experience preferred
  • Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel rate (local candidates accepted at a lower rate)
  • Former Providence staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility

Schedule

  • 13-week assignment starting 08/31/2026
  • Night shift: 3x12 hours (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
  • 36 hours per week
  • Every other weekend required
  • No on-call requirements
  • No floating between units required
  • All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application
