Travel CT Tech - $2,290 per week
About the role
TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel CT Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Tucson, Arizona. The position requires 40 hours per week, 10-hour shifts, and night work. The ideal candidate must have at least 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist, hold a BLS certification, and be registered in computed tomography.
Responsibilities
- Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests
- Explain imaging procedures to patients and provide reassurance
- Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions
- Position patients for CT scans
- Use computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images
- Administer radiocontrast agents to enhance visibility of internal organs
- Evaluate CT scans for technical quality
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Use the McKesson PACS system
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist
- BLS certification
- National Certification in CT from ARRT
- State-specific licensing if required
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
Qualifications
- Must be able to stand and walk for long periods
- Must be able to bend, lean, or stoop easily
Skills
- Knowledge of computed tomography equipment
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients
- Attention to detail for accurate image capture
- Understanding of medical terminology and anatomy
