About the role
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a high-volume, comprehensive stroke and Level I Trauma hospital in Clearwater, Florida. This is a 13-week travel assignment starting September 14, 2026, with a 40-hour workweek on a day shift schedule (Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM).
- Hospital-based CT department with 3 rooms
- 600-bed short-term acute care teaching hospital
- Comprehensive stroke center performing all neurosurgery on-site
- High acuity, geriatric patient population
- No on-call or floating to sister facilities required
- Facility is smoke-free; scrub colors required: Navy Blue, Burgundy, or Khaki
- First-time travelers will not be considered; local candidates accepted if they live at least 100 miles from the facility
- No RTO allowed in contract; weekend requirements to be discussed during interview
- Former Baycare permanent employees must wait at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of CT procedures including neuro imaging, perfusions, TAVR, CTA, lung/kidney biopsies, cryoablations, drainages, chest tubes, and venous mapping
- Utilize GE and Siemens CT equipment and Cerner EMR for charting
- Work in outpatient, inpatient, ER, and adult ICU settings
- Administer contrast and perform biopsies
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience
- BLS, ARRT, and ARRT Advanced Certification required
- Florida license or compact license required at time of submission
- Community hospital experience required; teaching hospital and Trauma Level I experience preferred
- Experience with GE and Siemens CT equipment, PACS, and Cerner EMR required
- Prior travel experience required
- COVID-19 vaccination required (medical or religious exemptions accepted)
