About the role
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience and ARRT (CT) certification for a 13-week travel assignment in the CAT Scan department of a 472-bed acute care hospital in Atlantis, Florida. The facility specializes in cardiovascular care, neuroscience, oncology, orthopedics, bariatrics, and Women's Services and is also a teaching hospital recognized among the best in the nation.
This role involves a Wed-Fri schedule, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with 36 hours per week and call requirements of 4-6 shifts per month on off days. Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered.
Responsibilities
- Perform CT scans, MRI, body scanner imaging, and X-rays
- Create diagnostic images of bones, organs, and tissues for accurate patient assessments
- Work in the CAT Scan department alongside Radiologists, Radiology Techs, Ultrasound Techs, MRI Techs, and CT Techs
- Use GE equipment, including MRI units, scanners, cameras, X-ray, and fluoroscopy
- Chart using the Meditech EMR system
- Manage patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 depending on patient stability
- Multi-task and work effectively with physicians, radiologists, and patients
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience
- ARRT (CT) certification required
- BLS certification required
- Florida State DOH license required, if applicable
- Experience with GE equipment and Meditech EMR strongly preferred
- Strong communication, medical, anatomical, and mechanical aptitude skills
- US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
- Two professional references required for Florida-based assignments
- No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months
- Black scrubs required and must be provided by the candidate
