About the role

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience and ARRT (CT) certification for a 13-week travel assignment in the CAT Scan department of a 472-bed acute care hospital in Atlantis, Florida. The facility specializes in cardiovascular care, neuroscience, oncology, orthopedics, bariatrics, and Women's Services and is also a teaching hospital recognized among the best in the nation.

This role involves a Wed-Fri schedule, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with 36 hours per week and call requirements of 4-6 shifts per month on off days. Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered.

Responsibilities

Perform CT scans, MRI, body scanner imaging, and X-rays
Create diagnostic images of bones, organs, and tissues for accurate patient assessments
Work in the CAT Scan department alongside Radiologists, Radiology Techs, Ultrasound Techs, MRI Techs, and CT Techs
Use GE equipment, including MRI units, scanners, cameras, X-ray, and fluoroscopy
Chart using the Meditech EMR system
Manage patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 depending on patient stability
Multi-task and work effectively with physicians, radiologists, and patients

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience
ARRT (CT) certification required
BLS certification required
Florida State DOH license required, if applicable
Experience with GE equipment and Meditech EMR strongly preferred
Strong communication, medical, anatomical, and mechanical aptitude skills
US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
Two professional references required for Florida-based assignments
No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months
Black scrubs required and must be provided by the candidate
