Responsibilities
- Perform complex CT procedures with professional judgment.
- Review and obtain patient clinical history, documenting into PACS.
- Prepare and review accuracy of the contrast questionnaire.
- Identify and administer contrast media as prescribed.
- Verify appropriateness of exam prescriptions and communicate with medical professionals.
- Obtain outside studies, ensuring their availability in PACS for radiologist comparison.
- Provide exam copies to patients and their physicians.
- Evaluate radiographs for diagnostic value.
- Prepare patients for scanning, ensuring they are adequately informed.
- Perform venipuncture and monitor patient conditions during procedures.
- Adhere to attendance policy and complete scheduled shifts.
- Identify and cater to patient needs, ensuring effective communication.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in CT required; 2 years preferred.
- Post processing, PACS (Fuji) knowledge required.
- Knowledge of EPIC EMR preferred.
- ARRT-CT certification is required.
- BLS certification required.
