Travel Critical Care Float - $2,367 per week

About the role

Location: Newark, New Jersey. Specialty: Critical Care Float (RN). Start date: November 2, 2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Hours: 36 hours per week (3×12‑hour shifts). Employment type: Travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for critically ill patients, including those on ventilators and requiring advanced cardiac care.
• Perform procedures such as arterial line management, phlebotomy, and IV therapy initiation and maintenance.
• Monitor patient status, interpret ABG results, and manage dysrhythmias.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Assist with post‑cardiac surgery recovery and care of patients in step‑down units.

Requirements

• Active New Jersey or Compact RN license.
• Minimum of 1.5 years of recent critical‑care experience.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Experience with Swan‑Ganz catheter is highly preferred; exposure to IABP, Impella, and/or VAD is a plus.
• Familiarity with the EPIC charting system is preferred.
