Travel COTA - $1,727 per week

About the role

Travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant position in South Yarmouth, Massachusetts. This is a 13‑week assignment requiring 40 hours per week on 8‑hour day shifts. The OTA will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to help patients develop, improve, or recover daily living and work skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic activities and interventions as directed by the supervising OT.
• Monitor patient progress and report observations to the OT to support treatment plan adjustments.
• Document patient performance and progress accurately and in a timely manner per facility and state guidelines.
• Assist patients with exercises, mobility training, and use of adaptive equipment.
• Educate patients and families on techniques to improve independence in daily activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas and equipment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support coordinated care.
• Comply with state licensing rules and adhere to facility and professional standards.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Current BLS and COTA (NBCOT) national certification.
• Valid state‑specific licensure.
• Ability to lift and assist patients safely.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Solid understanding of anatomy, motor function, and occupational therapy principles.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning the assignment.
