About the role

The specialized RN role is based in a children's hospital setting located in Aurora, Colorado. This position involves serving as a Charge Nurse in a pediatric environment with a focus on Ortho, General, Spine, and Neuro cases.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a Charge Nurse in a pediatric environment with a focus on Ortho, General, Spine, and Neuro cases.
  • Work 12-hour night shifts, Monday through Friday.
  • Lead and manage a team of nurses, ensuring patient safety and quality care.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
  • Assist in operating rooms and provide oversight during procedures.
  • Manage patient flow and ensure efficient use of resources.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN); active RN license (State or Compact).
  • BLS certification.
  • Pediatric, orthopedic, general, spine, and neuro experience.
  • Previous charge experience.
  • Strong operating room experience in a Level 1 Trauma facility.
  • Able to scrub preferred.

Qualifications

  • No requested time off within the first two weeks of assignment.
  • Medical and religious exemption requests for seasonal influenza vaccination accepted.

Pay

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

Shifts are 12 hours, nights, Tuesday through Thursday, with occasional schedule adjustments based on staffing needs.
