About the Role

FirstChoice – Trinity Health's mobile staffing solution – offers premium compensation and maximum flexibility for experienced Surgical Technologists. As a FirstChoice Surgical Technologist, you will fill short and long-term assignments throughout the health system, with nationwide and regional opportunities available.

This role involves working in OB procedures such as C-Sections, Hysterectomies, Tubal Ligations, and more within a birth center setting.

Responsibilities

• Float throughout the hospital and/or multiple hospital locations and/or regions as needed.
• Incorporate and demonstrate standard elements of professional practice: Assess, Outcomes Identification/Solutions, Plan, Implement, Evaluate.
• Act independently within scope of knowledge and experience while retaining accountability for delegation, choices, decisions, and outcomes.

Requirements

• Preferred Education: Graduate of an Associate or Bachelor’s degree program for Surgical Technologist.
• Preferred Certification: CST (Certified Surgical Technologist).
• Minimum of 18 months of experience as a CST.
• If no Surgical Technologist program completed (e.g., trained on the job or in the military), five (5) years of work experience is required.
• Cannot hold a concurrent position at a Trinity Health facility.
• Ability to complete orientation and training.

Pay

Pay Range: $30.22–$33.00 per hour + Tax-Free Allowance if qualified. Actual compensation varies based on experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification, and comparisons to current colleagues in similar roles.

For this assignment: Gross Weekly Rate of $2,196.00 for 3x12-hour night shifts over 13 weeks.
