Travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant General Job

About the role

Start date: 09/28/2026. Contract duration: 13 weeks. Setting: Long-term care (nursing home). This is a travel, temporary assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services to residents per the established plan of care under appropriate supervision, focusing on activities of daily living, mobility, and functional independence
• Implement targeted therapeutic activities and interventions to improve strength, coordination, cognition, and functional performance for an older adult population
• Document resident progress, update plans of care, and communicate effectively with the supervising OT and interdisciplinary team
• Participate in discharge planning and recommendations for safe transitions to home or community settings
• Ensure resident safety during therapy sessions, proper use and maintenance of equipment, and adherence to infection control and facility policies
• Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and rehabilitation staff to optimize resident outcomes and maintain cohesive care delivery

Requirements

• Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license/certification in Michigan
• Ability to work in a long-term care setting with adult residents
• Availability to work Day shift on a 8x4 schedule with 32 guaranteed hours per week
• Willingness to travel for a 13-week assignment and to commence by the start date of 09/28/2026
• Compliance with applicable professional standards and documentation requirements

Pay

Weekly pay: $1,005-$1,052 per week.
