About the role

Travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) assignment in Portsmouth, Virginia. Start date: ASAP. Duration: 13 weeks. Full‑time (40 hours per week) on an 8‑hour day shift. Employment type: Travel contract.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with rehabilitative activities and exercises outlined in a treatment plan developed in collaboration with an occupational therapist.
• Assess the learning needs and capabilities of patients and caregivers, considering age, level of understanding, and emotional status.
• Demonstrate and articulate sound clinical reasoning in treatment planning, implementation, and monitoring of patient progress.
• Effectively collaborate within an interdisciplinary team to meet patients’ goals.

Requirements

• Associate degree from an accredited school or a certificate from a community, technical, or vocational college.
• Current state license as an Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) or actively pursuing licensure.
• Current CPR certification.

Pay
