About the role
TotalMed Allied is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a 14-week travel job in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Responsibilities
- Deliver therapeutic activities and interventions as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist (OT).
- Monitor patient progress and report observations to the OT to support treatment plan adjustments.
- Document patient performance and progress accurately and in a timely manner per facility and state guidelines.
- Assist patients with exercises, mobility training, and use of adaptive equipment.
- Educate patients and families on techniques to improve independence in daily activities.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas and equipment.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support coordinated care.
- Comply with state licensing rules and adhere to facility and professional standards.
Requirements
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- National Certification as a COTA (Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant)
- One year of experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
- State-specific licensure is required
- Ability to lift and assist patients safely
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Solid understanding of anatomy, motor function, and occupational therapy principles

Benefits
The pay package is based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
