Travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant - $1,702 per week

Centra Healthcare Allied is seeking a travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a contract assignment in Houghton Lake, Michigan.

About the role

A great SNF / LTC facility is looking for an experienced or newly graduated Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join their growing team. This is a 13-week contract position with a days schedule, 40 hours per week, and 8-hour shifts.

This role assumes responsibility and accountability for incorporating the vision, values, mission, and critical goals of the organization into job performance.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with rehabilitative activities and exercises outlined in a treatment plan developed in collaboration with an occupational therapist.
• Assess the learning needs and capabilities of patients and caregivers with regard to age, level of understanding, and emotional status.
• Demonstrate and articulate sound clinical reasoning in treatment planning, implementation, and monitoring of patient progress.
• Effectively collaborate within an interdisciplinary team to meet patients' goals.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree from an accredited school or a certificate from a community, technical, or vocational college.
• Current state license as an Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) or proactively in the process of obtaining licensure.
• Current CPR certification.

Pay

Pay package is based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
