Position Summary
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides direct patient care and daily living support under the supervision of a licensed nurse. The CNA assists patients with personal needs, monitors their well-being, and helps maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment while promoting dignity and independence.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding, mobility)
- Measure and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
- Support nurses and healthcare staff with patient care and procedures
- Maintain cleanliness, comfort, and safety within patient rooms and common areas
- Provide emotional support and ensure patient dignity and respect at all times
Qualifications
- Active Maine CNA certification (or compact equivalent, if applicable)
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum of 6 months of recent CNA experience (long-term care or hospital setting preferred)
