Travel Center Shift Leader

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and support the cashier team, providing training and mentoring to help them achieve their best performance
• Engage with customers to understand their needs, resolve issues, and ensure complete satisfaction
• Oversee cash register operations, ensuring all transactions are processed accurately and efficiently
• Assist with inventory checks and help maintain appropriate stock levels at the cashier area
• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the cashier stations and sales floor
• Provide feedback and reports to management regarding cashier performance and customer preferences

Requirements

• Previous experience as a cashier, coupled with supervisory skills or team leadership experience is preferred
• Proficient with cash handling, basic math, and familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with customers and team members
• Reliability is essential; candidates should be punctual and ready to handle various shifts, including weekends
• Demonstrated capability to lead and motivate a team to meet operational goals
