Travel CCU RN - $2,828 per week

About the role

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN specializing in Cardiothoracic Intensive Care (CTICU) for a 13‑week assignment in Seattle, Washington. The position requires 48 hours per week on 12‑hour night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care to patients with potentially life‑threatening heart conditions.
• Prepare and administer prescribed medications.
• Take samples for diagnostic tests; order, interpret and evaluate diagnostic tests.
• Apply hemodynamic, phlebotomy and IV protocols.
• Respond to emergencies to provide CPR and operate defibrillators hospital‑wide.
• Educate patients and family members on post‑discharge recovery management.

Requirements

• Active RN license.
• ACLS and BLS certification.
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience (1‑2 years preferred).
• Additional certifications may be required before assignment.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lean and stoop for extended periods.
• Capable of lifting at least 20 lb routinely; patient handling may require up to 50 lb.
• Strong stress‑coping skills and ability to relate to diverse patient populations.

Skills

Proficiency in cardiovascular intensive care, medication administration, diagnostic testing, hemodynamic monitoring, phlebotomy, IV therapy, CPR, defibrillation, and patient/family education.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 48.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
