Responsibilities
ICU/Critical Care Nurse (RN) manages the care of adult patients with life‑threatening conditions requiring complex assessment, high‑intensity therapies, and interventions. Responsibilities include providing patient care and family education, ensuring proper function of life‑support equipment (ventilators, feeding tubes), monitoring heart rate, blood pressure, and respiration for distress, administering medications, IVs, and inserting catheters, meticulous medication documentation, assisting in emergency nursing procedures, and performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation accurately and effectively.
Requirements
- Active RN license
- Degree from an accredited nursing program
- BLS & ACLS certification
- Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care ICU setting
- Additional requirements may be specified by the client facility
