A travel position for a Cath Lab Technologist in Bakersfield, California. Duration: 13 weeks, 36 hours per week, 12-hour day shifts. Open to 10-hour shifts and block scheduling (Friday–Sunday).
About the role
Unit: Cath Lab with 5 suites:
- 2 suites primarily for coronary cases
- 1 suite for peripheral cases
- 1 suite for vascular & neuro cases
- 1 suite for EP cases
Charting System: Cerner. STEMI receiving facility handling cardiac/coronary, vascular, peripheral, general IR, and neuro interventions.
Responsibilities
- Perform cath lab procedures in a high-volume, multi-suite environment
- Manage conscious and moderate sedation
- Assist with procedural processes, airway management, and cardiac drips (e.g., Integrilin, dopamine, vasopressors)
- Operate and monitor balloon pumps
- Rotate call for inpatient and emergent cases (1×/week weeknight call, 1 weekend/month call from Friday evening through Monday AM)
Requirements
- Current cath lab experience
- Certifications: ARRT, Fluoro, BLS
