About the role

FlexStaff is seeking a travel Cath Lab Technologist for an assignment in Norwalk, Connecticut. This role offers the opportunity to work within Northwell Health, a leading not-for-profit health system with 28+ hospitals across New York and Connecticut. Experience in Cardiac Catheterization, Electrophysiology (EP), and/or Neurointerventional procedures is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient for exam, explaining procedures in layman terms to relieve pre-testing anxiety and ensures consent forms are obtained if necessary.
• Performs various x-ray exams according to established standards, positioning patients and adjusting immobilization and supportive devices.
• Adjusts x-ray equipment and operates controls to obtain correct exposure.
• Monitors patient’s condition in accordance with technical and safety standards, promptly reporting abnormalities (e.g., fainting, discoloration, contrast reactions) to the Radiologist.
• Keys in patient history data and other pertinent information from requisitions.
• Operates equipment for transferring computed images to film and archiving disc memory to tape.
• Processes and maintains exposed images, ensuring proper labeling (e.g., right/left side, date, patient identification).
• Enters exams onto daily log sheets and completes tracking steps for each examination.
• Maintains and cleans cath lab and auxiliary equipment.
• Performs related duties as required.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program.
• New York State and/or Connecticut Department of Health licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration.
• Minimum of one (1) year experience performing radiologic exams.

Pay

Pay package is based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amounts to be determined.
