Tech Requirements

- 10 hours shift, days
- AM shift (08:00 - 18:30)
- 4 X 10s schedule
- On-call assignment
- 1-2 nights per week
- Every 4-5 weekends dependent on staffing and department needs
- May be required to float between affiliated campuses or locations within the health system
- Nurse to patient ratio: Holding Area 1:3, Intraprocedure 1:1
- Unit size: 6-room unit with 9 pre/post bays
- Cases seen: 10-25 cases per day, ranging from diagnostic only to complicated PCI and Structural Heart
Experience & Certifications
- 2+ years of experience
- Previous travel experience required
- Certifications required: ACLS, BLS
- Recommended: RCIS
About the Role
The Temple University Hospital Cardiac Cath/EP Lab is a 6-room unit with 9 holding bays. It is a level-1 Trauma Center in North Philadelphia, PA. The lab operates with 4-10 hour shifts weekly and includes an on-call assignment. Shifts are from 8a-6:30p, with call requirements of 1-2 nights per week and every 4-5 weekends depending on staffing and department needs.
The position involves working with a team that handles a variety of cases, ranging from diagnostic only to complicated PCI and Structural Heart procedures. The technologist will be responsible for supporting the cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining high-quality patient care.
