Key Responsibilities of the Cath Lab Technician

Aid physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures, including cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, and stent placements.
Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies while maintaining a sterile environment.
Operate imaging and hemodynamic monitoring equipment during procedures.
Monitor patients and assist with patient positioning and preparation before procedures.
Scrub in and provide technical support during cardiovascular interventions.
Ensure all equipment is functioning properly and troubleshoot technical issues when necessary.
Maintain accurate procedural documentation and inventory of supplies.
Follow radiation safety, infection control, and patient safety protocols at all times.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab Technician experience
Current BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred
ARRT, RCIS, or equivalent credential preferred or required per facility guidelines

Additional Information

Experience assisting with diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
Strong knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, sterile technique, and hemodynamic monitoring
Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical-thinking skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced procedural environment and participate in on-call rotations if required
