Travel Cath Lab Technologist - $3,470 per week
Job Summary
A Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technologist position is available in Puyallup, Washington. This role involves working in a busy acute care unit with a focus on diagnostic and interventional procedures in a Level III Trauma Center. The technologist will support a team performing approximately eight cases per day, utilizing advanced equipment and technologies, and ensuring high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details
- Schedule: Shifts are typically from 0600-1630 or 0700-1730, depending on on-call duties. On-call responsibilities are scheduled once weekly on weekdays (Monday-Thursday) until 0700 the following morning, and every sixth weekend from Friday evening to Monday morning at 0700.
Required Qualifications
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) or RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) license
- Valid Washington State license
- Minimum of 1 year of Cath Lab experience if traveler has previous travel experience, or 2+ years if first-time traveler
- Experience with diagnostic/interventional Cath Lab procedures, scrub and operate table simultaneously, monitoring experience preferred
- Knowledge of EMR (Electronic Medical Record) system EPIC, IV pumps (Alaris), medication dispensing (Pyxis), PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System - Picom), and hemodynamic monitoring systems (Merge experience preferred)
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with GE Alea C-arm, EPIC EMR, and hemodynamic systems is advantageous
Additional Information
- Two Cath Labs with 8 cases per day
- Equipment used includes EMR, IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, PACS, and hemodynamic systems
- No sleep room available; parking is provided free of charge in the garage
- Support staff includes scheduler, charge nurse, lead tech, respiratory therapy, hospitalist, intensivists, cardiologist, RRT, code team, and transporters
- Must have a positive attitude, flexibility, and teamwork
- One holiday per contract; call only
