About the Role
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Tacoma, Washington. This role is in an acute care setting within a combined Cardiac Cath Lab and EP unit featuring 2 Cath Lab suites and 1 vascular suite.
The unit averages 22 total cases per day between Cath Lab and EP, with potential for up to 15 add-on cases. The patient population includes right and left heart catheterization with or without intervention, structural heart, and vascular cases. Procedures include TAVR, mitral clip, and cases requiring knowledge of IABP and Impella insertion. The facility uses EPIC EMR along with MacLab and GE Imaging equipment.
Schedule
- 10-hour day shifts: 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, 4 days per week
- 40 hours per week
- Call requirement: 8-10 days within a 6-week period
- Start date: August 31, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
Responsibilities
- Scrub and document during cardiac and EP procedures
- Monitor and assist with sedation and Phase 1 recovery (preferred)
- Float to the EP lab as part of a combined-unit, one-team approach
- Occasionally work past scheduled end time to complete all cases
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Cath Lab and EP procedures
- Current ACLS, BLS, and ARRT certifications
- RCIS, RT, or RCES certification
- State license required if applicable
- Procedural experience with the ability to scrub, monitor, and document
- ICU or PACU experience a plus
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
- Experience with GE imaging equipment preferred
- Strong preference for team-oriented candidates
