Travel Cath Lab Technologist - $3,462 per week
About the Role
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Lexington, Kentucky. This role is in an acute care cardiac catheterization lab with 4 procedure suites, averaging 10-15 cases per day. The patient population includes interventional cardiology, structural heart, and peripheral vascular cases. EP and IR are separate departments, though technologists may float between them occasionally based on census needs.
Shifts are 8 hours per day, 5 days a week, with on-call coverage required 24/7, including weeknights, weekends, and holidays (30-minute response time). The schedule is created by the department supervisor and may include 4x10 or 5x8 shifts. Cases are typically scheduled from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
Responsibilities
- Scrub in and monitor during cardiac catheterization procedures
- Participate in 3 shifts of unit/department-specific orientation
- Float to other procedural areas occasionally based on census needs
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Cath Lab
- Current BLS and ACLS certification
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification via CCI
- State license required if applicable
- Demonstrated competence and prior hands-on experience in Cath Lab procedures
- Experience with Epic EMR and Merge systems

Pay
Pay package is based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
