This role involves assisting in the preparation and execution of various cardiovascular procedures, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining a safe environment. Key Responsibilities Assist with diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Catheterization Laboratory. Monitor patient vital signs and condition during procedures. Maintain and operate specialized cardiovascular equipment. Prepare and assist with the administration of medications as directed by the medical team. Educate patients and their families on procedures and related care. Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards in the laboratory. Qualifications Minimum of two years of work experience as a Cardiovascular Technologist in a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. Graduate of a Cardiovascular Imaging Science (CVIS) training program or possess RCIS certification. One year of experience in Cath Lab, Electrophysiology, or Interventional Radiology, or completion of a CVT apprenticeship program may be considered in lieu of the education requirement. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) are required. Successful completion of a Telemetry test is necessary prior to starting the position. Work Schedule This position requires the ability to work 8 to 10-hour shifts and to be on call every third weekend with a response time of 30 minutes.Wellspring Nurse Source Job ID #38486889.
