Travel Cath Lab Technologist - $3,228 per week

About the role

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Cath Lab Technologist for a 13‑week assignment in Rockford, Illinois. The position is 36 hours per week, 9‑hour day shifts. The Cath Lab Technologist assists physicians during advanced diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures — including cardiac catheterization, peripheral vascular procedures, and structural heart procedures — in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. Duties include scrubbing, monitoring, and assisting providers as requested.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Cardiac Lab procedure rooms: ensure adequate stock is available and in working condition, including instrument sterilization if applicable.
• Prepare patient and equipment for cardiac lab procedures: prepare site of entry, drape patient, arrange sterilized instruments and catheters, calibrate and set up pressure transducers and tubing.
• Operate and ensure quality control of all equipment utilized in the cardiac cath lab; maintain knowledge of all related equipment.
• Scrub in during procedures, assisting the physician in maneuvering catheters.
• Obtain and record hemodynamic, electrical, and angiographic data by operating hemodynamic and electrical amplifiers and digital and line fluoroscopic equipment.
• Monitor the patient's hemodynamic status during procedures.
• Participate in life‑saving measures such as defibrillation and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
• Meet physical demands: ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist (note: posting also lists 2 years in requirements section).
• Current certifications: ARRT, BLS, ACLS.
• ARRT (R)‑CI preferred or CCI‑RCIS certification.
• State‑specific licensing as required.

Pay & Schedule

Pay package is based on 9‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined. Schedule: 9‑hour day shifts, 36 hours per week.
