About the role
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist for a 13-week contract in a hospital cardiac cath lab setting in Madison, Wisconsin. The position requires at least 1 year of cath lab experience, including diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath, ASD closures, cardiac stent placement, adult diagnostic catheterization, and dysrhythmia interpretation. Equipment used includes Philips and Siemens systems, PACS, and fluoroscopy. Day shifts are available with varying start times and occasional late nights.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath procedures
- Closure of ASDs
- Placement of cardiac stents
- Adult diagnostic catheterization
- Dysrhythmia interpretation
- Use of PACS and fluoroscopy
- Work with Philips and Siemens equipment
- Stay late occasionally as needed
- Attend weekday call coverage 1 day per week, Monday through Thursday
- Participate in weekend call rotation every 4th to 5th weekend, from Friday at 5:00 PM through Monday at 7:00 AM
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of cath lab experience
- ARRT (R) or CCI RCIS certification
- State license if applicable
- Proficiency in diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath, ASD closures, cardiac stent placement, and dysrhythmia interpretation
- Experience with PACS, fluoroscopy, Philips, and Siemens equipment
- Two professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Reside more than 70 miles from the facility to be eligible

Pay
The pay package is based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation).
Schedule
Day shifts with varying start times: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM, or 8:30 AM–5:00 PM (call shift); staying late 1–2 times per week is possible.
