Job Summary

Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist (CCL TECH) Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Cardiac Cath Lab Technologists assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures in a fast-paced, high-acuity Cath Lab environment. Responsibilities include supporting Cath Lab and peripheral case workflows, with additional support for hybrid procedures as assigned.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Rotating shifts; 12-hour shifts with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Day/mids rotation with occasional weekend shifts; call required as needed for the department (scheduled shift typically 1200-2030, with Friday/Friday call every 23 months).

Required Qualifications

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) preferred
  • ARRT(R) (Registered Technologist) preferred
  • RCIS (preferred)
  • Valid Wisconsin license as a Registered Technologist/RT for the role
  • Demonstrated ability to perform Cath Lab and peripheral cases
  • Knowledge of conscious sedation support including titrating and managing drips (for RN role) and scrubbing/panning (for RT role) as applicable

Preferred Qualifications

  • NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale)
  • ARRT(R) (Registered Technologist)
  • RCIS (preferred)
  • Hybrid experience (preferred but not required)

Additional Information

  • Performs diagnostic and interventional Cath Lab procedures (including STEMI/NSTEMI, CTO, valvuloplasty, and staged PCI) and peripheral diagnostic/interventional cases
  • May support hybrid procedures such as AAA grafts, thoracic grafts, TAVRs, and Watchman as experience allows
  • Works within a team environment with ongoing unit support (including RT coverage 24/7 and charge/lead support)
  • Completes 1 week of orientation
  • Coverage for COVID vaccine is required
