Responsibilities: - Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations - Operate and maintain specialized imaging equipment, including fluoroscopy, digital subtraction angiography, and hemodynamic monitoring systems - Prepare and position patients for procedures, ensuring safety and comfort - Assist physicians during procedures, including scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring - Administer contrast media and medications as directed by physicians - Monitor patients' vital signs and hemodynamic status during procedures - Document procedure details, including equipment settings, contrast media used, and patient responses - Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection control protocols - Perform quality control checks on imaging equipment and report any malfunctions - Participate in on-call rotations as required by the facility - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care - Educate patients and families about procedures, risks, and post-procedure care - Maintain accurate inventory of supplies and equipment, and order as needed - Adhere to all regulatory and accreditation standards, including HIPAA and OSHA - Participate in continuing education and professional development activities - Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or facility Requirements: - Active state license as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) or Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) - Certification in Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technology (CCI or ARRT) - Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a Cath Lab setting - BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association - Ability to travel and work in various healthcare settings - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and patient needs - Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and imaging software - Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift and position patients, and move equipment - Willingness to participate in on-call rotations - Commitment to providing high-quality patient care - Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards - Experience with pediatric and adult patients preferred but not required - Knowledge of radiation safety principles and practices - Familiarity with inventory management and supply ordering - Experience with quality improvement initiatives preferred but not required - Willingness to mentor and train new staff members preferred but not required"

Travel Cath Lab Technologist assignment in Omaha, NE with Triage Staffing. 13-week contract, 40 hours per week, 10-hour day shifts starting 08/24/2026.

About the role

This travel position supports all five major divisions of acute care—nursing, lab, radiology, cardiopulmonary, and rehab therapy. Triage offers a single point of contact for both travelers and facilities, a dedicated recruiter throughout the assignment, in-house compliance and accounting specialists, and 24/7 clinical liaison support for medical and professional needs.
