About the role
The Electrophysiology Monitoring Technician will provide assistance to the Electrophysiologist during EP studies, ablations, and cardiac implant procedures. The role involves implementing EP pacing monoverses and measurements using the GE (MacLab & CardioLab) systems. Additionally, the technician will assist in the setup of various mapping systems including Carto, Abbott, and Rhythmia during ablation procedures. The primary documentation will occur through the Epic system, enhancing teamwork and coordination within the lab environment.
Responsibilities
- Aid the Electrophysiologist during EP studies and cardiac procedures.
- Set up and facilitate the use of EP pacing monoverses.
- Cook with MDs and in-room staff to ensure availability of all necessary equipment and supplies.
- Facilitate timely patient care through efficient room turnovers and on-time starts.
- Cook with the Charge Nurse and third-party vendors to ensure all team members are present for scheduled procedures.
Requirements
- 2 years’ experience in an electrophysiology or related field.
- Valid RCES or Radiologic Tech license required.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
- Cardiac implant or structural heart scrub experience is preferred but not required.
- Experience with GE (MacLab & CardioLab) systems is preferred but not required.
Qualifications
Required experience and certifications as listed above.
Skills
Knowledge of EP pacing monoverses, mapping systems, and Epic system.

Pay
Pay package is based on 10 hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
Schedule
This position requires 3x12 hour shifts, primarily during the day with some late night (evenings) and on-call responsibilities based on unit needs.
