About the role
Travel position in Portsmouth, Virginia. Works in a cardiac catheterization lab, assisting cardiologists and vascular physicians with catheter-based cardiac and vascular diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Monday-Friday schedule with at least 14 days of call
- Must have RCIS
- Lab equipped with balloon pump, Impella, IVUS, iFR/FFR
- Performs TAVR, PFO closures, Watchman, EKOs, and atherectomy using CSI, RotaPro, and laser
- Includes angiography and balloon/stenting procedures
- Accepts local candidates (with a $10 decrease in pay)
- Dysrhythmia exam required (study guide available in Simplify library)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
Unit Details
- 3-4 rooms (Cath, Vascular, EP, and hybrid)
- GE Machines; 1 lab uses Siemens (Vascular)
- Typically 4-8 Cath procedures per day (can add on as needed, up to 12-16 with 2 cath rooms running, though rare)
- Cases include diagnostic and interventional procedures
Pay
Pay package based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
