Travel Cath Lab Technologist - $2,875 per week

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Cath Lab Tech for a 13-week travel assignment in Springfield, Illinois. This role offers competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and support from a dedicated clinical team.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and position patients for cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, stent placement, electrophysiology studies, and other interventional procedures
- Absorb and operate fluoroscopy and hemodynamic monitoring equipment during procedures
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment, contrast injectors, and hemodynamic monitoring systems
- Maintain sterile technique and collaborate with the healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care
- Perform sheath removal and hemostasis using manual compression or closure devices as directed
- Document patient records, imaging data, and equipment logs accurately
- Manage inventory, stock supplies, and ensure proper storage of sterile instruments and medications
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards
- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice
Requirements
- One year’s recent experience as a Cardiac Cath Lab Tech
- Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification
- ARRT, RCES, or RCIS certification
- Current ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification
- Valid Radiologic Technologist license in compliance within state regulations
- PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC Certifications
Qualifications
- Excellent critical thinking, service excellence, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Read/write comprehension, verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills
- Physical abilities: remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend
- Interpersonal skills: work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary)
- Technical/motor skills: grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
- Mental requirements: cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure, work under close supervision occasionally, and work without assistance from other personnel
- Sensory: possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate
