Travel Cath Lab Technologist - $2,800 per week

Travel assignment for a Cath Lab Technologist in Austin, Texas at Dell Seton Medical Center at The University of Texas (1500 Red River St, Austin, TX 78701).

• 40 hours per week, 8-hour day shifts
• Employment type: Travel

Level 1 Trauma Center with 2 labs and 1 hybrid OR. Department manages multiple modalities (Trauma, Interventional Radiology, Neuro, Cardiovascular, Vascular). Experience with multiple modalities is preferred. Must be able to respond within 30 minutes during call shift.

Responsibilities

• Assist with procedures and provide diagnostic aid by conducting organ or body scans on patients
• Prepare and position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately
• Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations
• Observe patient during procedure and report abnormal activity
• Monitor protocols and recommend updates or refinements as warranted
• Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines
• Perform all specialized imaging procedures such as angio, complex vascular and nonvascular interventional and therapeutic procedures, along with assisting the Radiologist/PA
• Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards

Requirements

• BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month of hire (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted)
• Radiologic Technologist credential from the Texas Medical Board (obtained prior to hire)
• One or more of the following certifications:
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (CCI)
  • Cardiographic Tech specializing in Electrophysiology (CCI)
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography (ARRT)
  • ARRT-VI, ARRT-CI, or ARRT-CV
• Advanced Life Support preferred (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted)
• Education:
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience, OR
  • Associate's degree/Technical degree, OR
  • 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience
• Driver's License/State ID (required for submission)
• Ascension Profile and 2 professional references (required for submission)
