About the role

TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Cath Lab Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Pontiac, Michigan. This position requires 40 hours per week on an 8-hour day shift and is classified as a travel role.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare Cardiac Lab procedure rooms by ensuring adequate stock and functionality, including instrument sterilization if applicable.
  • Prepare patients and equipment for cardiac lab procedures: site preparation, patient draping, arranging sterilized instruments and catheters, and setting up pressure transducers and tubing.
  • Operate and maintain quality control of all equipment used in the cardiac cath lab, with knowledge of all related laboratory equipment.
  • Scrub in during procedures to assist physicians in maneuvering catheters.
  • Obtain and record hemodynamic, electrical, and angiographic data using hemodynamic and electrical amplifiers, digital and line fluoroscopic equipment.
  • Monitor the patient's hemodynamic status during procedures.
  • Participate in life-saving measures such as defibrillation and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

Cath Lab Technologists must be able to stand, walk, bend, lean, or stoop for long periods without difficulty.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
  • CCI (RCIS) certification; ARRT (R)-CI preferred.
  • State-specific licensing when required.
  • Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Pay

Pay package is based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
