Job Summary
The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technologist is based in Austin, Texas, and provides essential support for diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures. This role involves assisting physicians in complex invasive procedures within a hospital setting, ensuring patient safety and adherence to clinical protocols.
Job Details
- Shift: Days, 10 hours per day, scheduled from 07:00 to 17:30.
- Schedule: 4x10s, 0700-1730, minimum of 40 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- BLS (American Heart Association only)
- ACLS (American Heart Association only)
- RCIS or ARRT (Radiologic Technologist) certification
- Valid Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist license
- Zero to one year of clinical experience in cardiac cath lab with IR. EP experience is preferred.
Additional Information
- Responsible for assisting with arteriograms, catheterizations, pacemaker implantations, and other invasive cardiovascular procedures.
- Duties include preparing sterile fields, monitoring patient ECG and vital signs, transporting patients, maintaining inventory, and ensuring safety standards are met.
- The role requires precision, flexibility, and knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology.
