About the role
The successful candidate will provide care in a Cath Lab setting under the supervision of a physician.
Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures
- Operate equipment and monitor patient vitals
- Prepare patients for procedures
- Document patient information accurately
Requirements
- Experience: 2 years in Rad Tech/Cath Lab
- Certifications: BLS through AHA, ACLS through AHA, Registered Radiologic Technologist in state of practice, ARRT registration
- Licensed to practice in the state of practice
- Must live 65+ miles from the facility
- Not employed by any Ochsner facility within the past year
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Registered Radiologic Technologist in the state of practice and registration from The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- RCIS, RCES certified technicians are also accepted

The pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation).
