Travel Cath Lab Technologist - $2,526 per week

American Traveler is seeking a travel Cath Lab Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Responsibilities

• Work in a diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab setting
• Provide patient care with a 1:1 patient ratio
• Perform procedures such as PCI, left and right heart catheterizations, IABP placement/removal, PFO/ASD closures, cardiogenic shock management, and CTO interventions
• Administer and monitor procedural sedation, antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, IV vasopressors, thrombolytics, and reversal agents
• Interpret 12-lead EKG, ACT monitoring, cardioversion, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, malignant hyperthermia protocols, and infection prevention/isolation precautions
• Administer IV therapy including blood product administration, IV infusion pumps, and starting IVs

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant cath lab experience
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• License required if applicable
• Proficiency in cardiac stent placement, diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, IABP placement/removal, PCI, swan-ganz/pulmonary artery line monitoring, and sheath removal
• Experience administering and monitoring procedural sedation, antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, IV vasopressors, thrombolytics, and reversal agents
• Skills: 12-lead EKG interpretation, ACT monitoring, cardioversion, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, malignant hyperthermia protocols, and infection prevention/isolation precautions
• IV therapy skills including blood product administration, IV infusion pumps, and starting IVs

Benefits

Up to 7 days of RTO may be auto-approved as long as it does not fall on a holiday; additional RTO requires facility approval; no RTO is permitted during the first week of assignment due to orientation

Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined
