About the role

Stability Healthcare is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist for a travel contract position in Racine, WI. A catheterization laboratory, or Cath lab, technician is a professional who works in the field of cardiovascular technology. Cath lab technicians are vital team members who assist doctors during invasive cardiovascular procedures such as angioplasty, cardiac catheterization, and electrophysiology.

Responsibilities

• Aid doctors during invasive cardiovascular procedures such as angioplasty, cardiac catheterization, and electrophysiology.
• Prepare patients for procedures, including administering medications and positioning them appropriately.
• Operate and monitor medical equipment used in catheterization labs.
• Assist with patient care and comfort during and after procedures.
• Document patient information accurately and maintain records.

Requirements

• 2 years of experience in a related healthcare field.
• Current certification in Cardiac Cath Lab Technology (preferred).
• Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Skills

• Proficient in operating medical equipment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Pay

The pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a guaranteed stipend and tax-free hourly bonus for working over contracted hours.

Schedule

Shifts are 8 hours, days, with guaranteed hours and benefits starting day 1.
